The reorganization of the African Network for Canadian Studies marks a new era, focused on knowledge consolidation, inter-university cooperation, and highlighting Canadian studies in Africa.
Description of ANCS origin
With a member making contact with the International Council Canadian Studies ICCS in 2022, it became clear that before this time ICCS had no presence in the Africa continent, thus the need to establishing this network. This became necessary to bridge the gap between Africa and the rest of the world in education and research in Canada. Africa Network for Canadian Studies ANCS is officially recognized as an associate member of the ICCS. It is our hope that the number of member will grow as various scholars come to appreciate the goal of the network.
