For the year 2024, Fernande Coeurbie MANGA DIABA, doctoral student at the Université de Lorraine in France and member of the African Network for Canadian Studies, has been awarded a graduate scholarship by the International Council for Canadian Studies to carry out a research stay at the University of Ottawa, under the supervision of Professor Geneviève TELLIER. She is writing a thesis in comparative law on fiscal federalism and sovereignty in Belgium and Canada, under the supervision of Jérôme GERMAIN, HDR lecturer at the Université de Lorraine.

The objectives of the network are  - The encouragement and support of research and teaching concerning Canada across the whole of the educational community in Africa - The dissemination of knowledge and understanding of Canada to the public throughout Africa. - Pioneering open access resources that empower members to leverage the power of networks to build their skills, knowledge, and expertise.   The African Network for Canadian Studies Welcomes Five New Official Ambassadors The African Network for Canadian Studies (ANCS) has reached a new stage in its development and international influence. Five new ambassadors have recently been appointed to represent the network in their respective countries and promote scientific activities focused on the study of issues common to Canada and Africa. These appointments mark a significant expansion of the network, strengthening its strategic presence on the African continent and in Canada. Ambassadors at the service of scientific cooperation The network's five ambassadors were officially selected following the inaugural ANCS conference, in which they played an active role. Their role is essential: they will be responsible for promoting the network's research projects, conferences, publications and other initiatives in their respective countries.
